Over 60% of Kenya’s population is under 35 , yet many face unemployment, underemployment, or lack access to skills training and opportunity.

AFC believes that youth empowerment starts with real opportunities — jobs, education, leadership roles, and platforms for innovation.

This isn’t about handouts. It’s about handing over the tools for success .

Key Deliverables:

• Create new youth jobs in tech, agriculture, manufacturing, and creative industries within 5 years

• National Apprenticeship Program linking graduates to real-world experience

• Startup Grants & Mentorship Hubs across all 47 counties

• Vocational Training Centers modernized for 21st-century skills

• Youth Cabinet Seats at National and County levels for direct input in decision-making

How We’ll Do It:

• Partner with private sector to create Youth Employment Zones with tax incentives for companies hiring young talent
• Expand digital literacy in schools through the Digital Kenya Initiative
• Support entrepreneurship incubators and micro-loans for youth-led businesses
• Work with TVETs and universities to align curricula with market needs
